An 18th-century building,
three timeless residences

Nel cuore pulsante di Ortigia, l'isola che Cicerone descrisse come la più bella delle città greche, un palazzo del 1743 custodisce nei suoi sotterranei tracce di tre civiltà stratificate. Le fondamenta poggiano su muri del III secolo a.C.; le travi sono ancora quelle originali, di cedro libanese.

We restored what time had chosen to spare, leaving intact the frescoes of the noble floor, the lava stone floors and the baroque windows that frame the Cathedral like a painting. We do not reproduce luxury: we inhabit it.

The most precious residence in the collection, situated on the ground floor with a mezzanine. Beneath the glass floor lie archaeological excavations from the 3rd century BC. A sensual glass shower looking directly onto the millenary ruins is positioned in front of the double bed, beneath historic beams.
